Wagga Wagga Art Gallery welcomes over 40,000 people each year to an extensive range of exhibitions, events, education programs and public engagement activities. The Gallery is the home of the National Art Glass Collection, an internationally significant collection of contemporary Australian glass, as well as the Margaret Carnegie Print Collection, which consists of over fourteen hundred works in print by Australia’s foremost artists.
Your new role:
The Gallery is seeking a Director with exceptional strategic, management and leadership skills. This position is responsible for managing the operations and facilities of the Gallery in accordance with international industry best practices, and leading the delivery of exhibitions, public engagement, and collection management to the highest standards expected by the gallery’s audiences, stakeholders and community.
Candidates will need to demonstrate extensive experience in the public gallery sector or other relevant industry, and extensive professional knowledge of contemporary visual arts. Highly developed skills are also required in leadership, strategic planning, communication, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. The capacity to develop an ambitious, innovative and ethical vision for the Gallery will be essential.
- Remuneration package commencing at $3,149.92 minimum gpf + superannuation
